The Homeless Resource Fair, formerly known as the Stand Down, is a one-day event that links homeless individuals and families with community resources. This year’s event will be held on Saturday November 13, 2010 and it will provide attendees with medical services, referrals to social service agencies, legal assistance, haircuts, food, and much more. The Homeless Resource Fair is important in connecting hundreds of homeless individuals with a community that can restore their hope. With your help, we know the 2010 Homeless Resource Fair will be successful in lending a hand to our homeless neighbors. Please scroll down to learn how more about the following areas:
Do You Want to Get Involved in Making a Difference in the Homeless Community? MAKE AN IN-KIND OR MONETARY DONATIONBecome an Event Sponsor: Will you consider becoming a sponsor of our event? Monetary donations are tax deductible and will be used to secure backpacks, socks, and hygiene items that we will distribute to attendees on the day of the event. Below are the sponsorship levels.
Please complete the sponsorship form and mail it with a check, payable to LifeWorks (ECHO’s fiscal agent), by November 5th to: Goodwill Industries of Central Texas – Job Source Program Please write “ECHO – HRF” in the memo line, to ensure that your donation goes to the correct account! PROVIDE INFORMATION OR SERVICES TO ATTENDEESDoes your agency provide services to homeless individuals and families? If so, please consider having a booth at the Homeless Resource Fair. Attendees can benefit from many services such as assistance with medical care, employment, legal aid, birth certificates, veterans’ benefits, educational services, housing procurement, etc. Community organizations are welcome and encouraged to participate as service providers. Here’s your chance to be a part of this annual resource fair that helps connect individuals to much needed services and goods.
