Austin Connects, a partnership between the City of Austin, Austin Free-Net and Skillpoint Alliance, is sponsoring the second annual Community Technology Symposium March 1 at the AMD campus off Southwest Parkway.

Topics include “Community Technology Resources,” “Digital Storytelling” and “Technology Education.” Keynote speaker will be Kami Griffiths, Executive Director of the Community Technology Network which serves the San Francisco Bay area. Opening remarks will be provided by Austin City Council Member Laura Morrison. The City's Rondella Hawkins, Manager of the Telecommunications and Regulatory Affairs Office, will discuss government policy and how it relates to digital inclusion issues.

The symposium will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and breakfast and lunch will be served.

Tickets are available online. Cost is $35 and seating is limited.
