THE COUNT

ECHO, a coalition of local organizations working to end homelessness, will conduct a count of the homeless population in the streets on Sunday, January 23, 2011. We need hundreds of volunteers to canvass parks, campsites and other public spaces to count the number of people living unsheltered in the county. Just one afternoon of your time will help us collect vital information that is used by local organizations to help homeless people leave the streets for a better life.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED... The information gathered by volunteers during the 2011 Homeless Count & Survey is critical to our ongoing efforts, but we need your help to make it possible. We need more than 300 volunteers to give a few hours of their time to help count the homeless population in the county. We will provide you with all the training you will need to conduct the survey. You will also be able to watch a quick convenient online orientation to get an overview of the event.
