An opportunity to learn what to say/ do - and what NOT to say/ do - to effectively share your organization's concerns with Texas policymakers.

This legislative session will see a range of policy initiatives with the potential to impact the populations that you serve. Join other ISNA community members in learning how to share your experience and perspective to inform policy makers of potential consequences and impacts.

Participants will hear how best to craft, frame, and share messages first hand from Capitol staffers and seasoned advocates/ policy experts. Like last session's training, the agenda will include opportunities for participants to role play with staffers in order to practice strategies and techniques.

Who should attend: Anyone in the ISNA community with concerns about the next legislative session and/or an interest in the Texas policy process. This event is developed in the spirit of ISNA's mission to: coordinate efforts, increase public awareness, and inform policy, in order to better serve the immigrant community.

As staffers and advocacy organizations will be in attendance, this will be a networking opportunity. However, please remember that ISNA does not endorse any particular piece of legislation or political platform. Contact: Amy Thompson SafeRepatriation@gmail.com; 512/499-0780

Location: Terrazas Library Community Meeting Room, 1105 Cesar Chavez, 78702
