On Wednesday, Jan. 19, Integral Care will be hosting the third annual Open House at the Robert T. Chapa, Sr. Administration Building (1430 Collier St.) from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Each year, we open our doors to provide our community an opportunity to visit with Integral Care staff, partners and the people we serve. This year will be especially momentous - so please be sure to mark your calendars now. In addition to learning about Integral Care's programs and services, you'll also have an opportunity to test drive Integral Care's Crisis Chat program, which provides real-time online chat support for individuals in severe emotional distress, linking them to appropriate resources in the community. At 1 pm, we'll begin the volunteer recognition ceremony, which honors Integral Care's individual volunteers and affiliates whose efforts support Integral Care's mission, including: the Central Texas African American Family Support Conference, the Mental Health Task Force and New Milestones Foundation. We will also talk about the launch of the Tobacco Cessation initiative coordinated in partnership with the City of Austin and Sherry Matthews Advocacy Marketing as part of the city-wide effort to reduce tobacco use in our community. The Open House will conclude with a memorial fountain ceremony, honoring the memory of consumers who have passed.
