The Food for Thought Series in Memory of Lynn Lichtenfels presents:

"Parenting Techniques Through Separation and Reunification"

This session will help attendees work through the complex issues of parent/child separation and reunification. Participants will learn how to address both emotional and practical barriers of separation from a strengths-based perspective while acknowledging the effects of previous relationship and personal trauma. The training will explore specific techniques for keeping the parent/child bond while separated and will then recognize the different challenges and approaches to reunification. The goal is to help families through their transitions in a way that validates their history while showing them empathy, value, and respect so they can cultivate it with each other.
