The Hogg Foundation in partnership with the federal Office of Minority Health is hosting a one-day conference to promote integrated health care as a means of eliminating health disparities in racial and ethnic minority populations and persons with limited English proficiency.
Conference participants will learn about integrated health care service models and practices, key components of cultural and linguistic competency, and recommendations developed by a national consensus panel of experts on how to bring these together to achieve quality health care for all. Participants will also learn how these recommendations can be effectively implemented.
Anyone interested in integrating health care in their communities and service delivery settings will gain valuable knowledge by attending the conference. The program will be of primary interest to policy makers, advocates, behavioral and physical health care professionals and administrators, state agency leaders and staff, and health care consumers and youth and their family members.
Marriage and family therapists, professional counselors and social workers are eligible to receive free continuing education units (CEUs) from the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.
