Texans Care for Children
Improving Coordination & Quality of Services to Children & Families
Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012
Hogg Foundation for Mental Health
It's a sobering combination - state programs are being told to do more with less at a time when families they serve face significant challenges stemming from the economic recession. (See this recent article about how the economic recession is affecting family relationships). Perhaps now more than ever, collaboration and coordination is needed to avoid further fragmentation of services and poor outcomes for children with families.
Representatives from two state interagency coordinating bodies - the Texas Council on Children and Families and the Texas Interagency Task Force on Children with Special Needs - will join us to update the Forum on these state agency efforts to improve coordination and the quality of state services for children and families in Texas, the next steps in their processes, and share opportunities for stakeholders to inform the their important work.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 17 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health. The meeting is free and open to all interested stakeholders. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend.
