You're invited to the 6th Annual Michael & Susan Dell Lectureship in Child Health on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 5:30 pm. This year, J. David Hawkins, PhD will speak on community organizing to support healthy living with his lecture, 'A Sociologist Takes on Teen Smoking, Drinking and Violence'And Wins!'
Featuring Dr. J David Hawkins, Endowed Professor of Prevention at the University of Washington School of Social Work and Founding Director of the Social Development Research Group.
- Dr. Hawkins' research focuses on the social development model and the prevention of drug use and violence in adolescence. We think that you and your colleagues will be particularly interested in his successful prevention program, 'Communities that Care.'
