For September, Maria Andrea Pinales, LMSW from the Central Texas Coalition on Human Trafficking will present. Human Trafficking is the recruitment, harboring, transporting, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services, through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, slavery or forced commercial sex acts. How does this relate to case managers? This training will cover how to recognize human trafficking and how case managers can assist individuals who being affected. Also covered will be resources and issues specific to the Central Texas area.
