Texas Teen Safe Driving Coalition recognizes National Youth Traffic Safety Month and promotes teen safe driving practices.
Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death for teens. Teen drivers ages 16 and 17 have the highest crash rates of any age group. Working together we can reverse this devastating trend by applying the scientifically based system, known as Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL). Use of GDL has been proven to reduce teen driver crashes of by up to 40% and any family can use the principles to keep their teen driver safe on the road.
Meet members of the Texas Teen Safe Driving Coalition, recognize victim families, and learn what you can do to reduce crashes, injuries and teen lives.
Join with teens, parents, community leaders, highway and injury prevention professionals and others from across the state to get the facts about the GDL program in Texas.
