Capital Area Regional Transit Coordination Committee (RTCC) Is Seeking Input on Public Transportation Needs and Solutions
The Capital Area Regional Transit Coordination Committee is working to develop a new Coordinated Plan for Public Transit and Health and Human Services Transportation. The plan will replace a Coordination Plan developed by the region in 2006.
The updated plan will:
identify ways that the regions existing family of public transportation services (ranging from transit buses to agency vans to volunteer drivers) can be better coordinated to meet more needs,
identify cost-effective strategies for meeting unmet needs in the region, and
guide the prioritization of new services for funding through the Federal Transit Administration.

About the Capital Area RTCC: The RTCC represents more than 25 organizations that are responsible for providing transportation services or health and human services, or are interested in the coordination of public transit and client transportation services in the 10-county Capital Area region that includes Llano, Burnet, Blanco, Williamson, Travis, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette, and Lee counties. The goal of the RTCC is to develop and implement a plan for a seamless system that achieves efficiencies, eliminates duplication, increases coordination, and addresses service gaps. CAMPO serves as the administrative lead agency for this effort.
