The Travis County Criminal Justice Planning Department has been tasked with writing a three-year Criminal Justice Community Plan for the Texas Governor's Office for the years 2012 to 2014. One of the community plan's purposes is to address the needs of juvenile justice for the Travis County area. In order for the plan to have the right data and critical programmatic direction, we are in need of establishing a one time focus group with Austin Independent School District, Manor Independent School District and Pflugerville Independent School District. This focus group will help us to identify gaps in service, current assets and to identify priority needs. A previous social service focus group has identified bullying, truancy, and mental health as some of the top issues.

To discuss the districts' needs, a small focus group meeting will be held at Travis County Criminal Justice Planning Department on Thursday, April 28, 2011, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at 5501 Airport Blvd. Suite 203-A, Conference Room.
